Hold on to your media queries, because according to USA Today, Apple has just unveiled two new products: the iPad Air, and the iPad Mini with Retina Display.

Both are relatively self-explanatory - beefed-up internals and a slimmer body for the iPad Air, and crazy pixel density plus camera and speed upgrades for the iPad Mini with Retina - but still interesting, if not a little predictable, additions to the product line. It seems likely that before too long, Apple will have everything Air and everything with Retina Display, and these releases only confirm that hunch.

Other announcements cover changes to apps - iWork for iCloud and GarageBand, for example - and various changes to and news about the MacBook Pro and Mac Pro.

No mention of a gold iPad Air or Mini, though ... should I be disappointed?
