It's so easy to get up and running with your first Windows Phone app!  Just pick up the FREE toolkit from Microsoft, register at AppHub, and start checking out some fundamental tutorials.

Within a week of the successful announcement of the Windows phone developer tools , Microsoft has announced the Visual Basic for Windows Phone 7 CTP Tools.

Brandon Watson, Microsoft in his blog post mentions that

“Ever since we first announced the application platform for WP7, there was a loud chorus of Visual Basic developers asking if and when they would be able to build apps for Windows Phone”

It is currently the CTP Version and there is no “Go Live” license, so one should not try to release applications (Currently CTP Supports only silverlight) built with this version of the technology.

Also mentioned is that the Visual Studio 2010 Professional or higher is required to try this CTP and this will not work with the Express edition

Developers can download the Visual Basic CTP for Windows Phone Developer Tools here.

I already started the download ,will update my blog after some samples :)
